I forgot how eco-conscious Italy and Europe is. The lights here are on a motion sensor so they turn on and off as you walk around the Don. The electricity in the rooms depends on putting your room key in the slot--so you can't leave lights on when you leave for the day. All of the toilets have 2 buttons: 1 big one for big things haha and a small one for small things. I know we have that spotted around Boston too but it's everywhere here. There are recycling bins everywhere. Trash in Venice seems to be hung in lil CVS sized bags from the door knobs of houses everyday so it doesn't look like much or has the chance to get super stinky and gross. My one complaint is that there are ALOT of pushers here that walk around trying to get you to buy roses or stupid toys. Lots of Sudanese men selling fake Louis Vuitton's but that's mostly near the super touristy areas.
